This adventure focuses on learning how to build the most elusive of winter shelters, the igloo. This adventure is suitable for the whole family and lunch is included.
You will learn:
-How to make a snow quarry
-How to harvest snow blocks
-How to create a winter kitchen
-Igloo construction
Other skills might include:
-Winter survival
-Methods of heat transfer
-Recognizing hypothermia and treatment
This adventure is family friendly and includes lunch and tea!
We will spend up to seven hours in the snow with limited shelter. Please dress accordingly and bring extra gear to stay warm. Snowshoes are optional but encouraged.
